Is your miner setup for DHCP?

Why I ask:
Several cable providers offer up to 10 IP addresses that will DHCP through the modem. If Time Warner doesn't (they are known for their stingy behavior) then you'll need a router.

If so, you can pick up a very cheap (under $10.00) router or switch from Ebay. The chances of them being bad are very slim. All you need is a simple 4 port router and you're good to go.

Let us know how it goes Smiley

I don't know if my miner setup for DHCP.  but when I login to the time warner cable modern I click on DHCP my miner are not listed or show. it like they not even connect to the internet or the modern. what is the best router to get at walmart  that can get the job done.

Are you able to ask previous owner what they shipped it with?  Most would know IP if static or if they did send dynamic.

no. I am not able to ask him that. but the miner was working fine with Verizon as my internet provider. during that time I did change the IP of the miners and I have never have any problem with them. it driving me f**** crazy

Does the router your using now use a different set of IP address's?   Do you notice any differences between the different routers?
