Well, if you like:

* Finding the mechanisms of many diseases like Cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Pandemic Influenza, etc ...
* Formulating lead compounds in-silico (before animal testing has to be utilized).
* Helping Create more effective pharmaceuticals for these deadly diseases.

... then the answer is yes - however there are many cynics who don't agree. I'm obviously not one of them
