So in the next 3-6 months where do the majority of you see the price of Monero heading? Additionally, what do you think the volume will be looking like?

probably more of the same for 6 months, then both going UP. just takes someone like Roger Ver to focus for 5 minutes on XMR

maybe we should mail charlie shrem something to read about monero.
IIRC, he is in jail now for selling BTC to a dark market guy, so plenty of time for him to read

(this is a serious idea)

that's not a bad idea actually. I often wonder why more of the early bitcoin pioneers aren't here, I guess they're either too busy to follow alt coins now and/or they're in too deep with bitcoin, and they are reading up on all the alts, and they realise the threat. still, throwing $20K USD at monero for some of these guys isn't that much money. Does anyone know what Erik Voorhees and Roger Ver think of alts in general?

Erik Voorhees is the owner of shapeshift.io, so he is positive towards alts I guess Wink
Don't know about Shrem, but because he is in prison, his exposure to information will be lower, so it's more easy to reach out to him if we do the efford of sending actual mail to him. He also has access to email I think, but don't know if it's possibel for him to print attachments, so those need to be send by physical mail I guess.

edit: so what to include?

*cryptonote whitepaper?
*monero research lab papers?
*some of the monero missives (written transcripts and the 2014 editions)
*some tweets by peter todd ( Wink ), posts by gmaxwell, etc
*maybe some posts by david, fluffy, smooth, etc ?
let's organize this on forum.getmonero.org Smiley

Would shrem have access to internet & youtube in prison? if yes, fluffy's conference video and podcast interview might be good to try first. I don't think shrem is a tech guy, so a higher level overview would probably work best

IIRC, he only has access to "prison mail" which is a kind of censored e-mail system.
ALso, I think his time on PC is limited, so atachments should be avoided and send by physical mail.

Maybe we make contact first, through email and later on send him more papers, printed discussions, etc
