Even with a legit internet based business there are so much FUD spreding morons creating problems that the owner of the business might think to cash in and disappear instead of heaving a hard life Trying to do its best. It's not easy!
I've seen this argument used before, but don't know of any actual examples.
Most "FUD spreading morons" could be silenced quite quickly by logical answers to reasonable questions.
