If you are dreaming of a new car I think better to buy Moneros instead. I am not saying Doge is bad but rather Monero is good pick. 
Nor doge, nor monero, nor any other digital coin will arrive such fantastic prices. They worth only for they developers even if it will be heard their words at the moment of their creation those are to important and particular. They serve only that their developers make money listing those in various exchanges. They live a few and then exist only as a names. Maybe doge is not in this situation but most of them yes.
A good point that shitcoins are valued only by the preminers who are usually the developers.
However, Monero is not such as the developers have purchased their coins from the markets along with others.
The fact that the there is a conflict of an interest between the developers and the investors is exactly the reason which distracts me from a coin. When the goal of a developer is the same as mine (like in case of Monero where some of the coins the developers bought are underwater), I am interested. That's exactly the reason why I am not investing in Darkcoin. It is considered as such a scamcoin premined by the developer(s) and then listed in exchanges. Yes, I could have made some money by investing in Darkcoin but the fact that the developer is capable to dump all his shit on the investors when there is at least a little meaningful liquidity, is something any prudent investor should be afraid of and run away and also warn others. The more there are people getting burned, the less there will be investments for legit coins/projects such as Monero.
