I think the inflow of new btc wasn't enough to sustain the current rewards. It is better that he lowers the rewards so he can continue to pay us, than the alternative of just closing the site down and leaving with our coin. I think Marcello is doing the right thing here.
You seem to imply that the "admin" is operating a charity of some sort. "Inflow of new BTC" is going mostly to his pockets and he will shut it down eventually anyway. If you care about getting paid sell now, what's stopping you?
