Vertcoin is forking to a new mining algo, a modified lyra2re.
Will you add a new algo or replace the old one (or none of the two)?

Huh, these guys at Vertcoin are really fanatic with those algo forks
... we'll take a look at it and we'll probably add the new algo.The old algo is mining on a bogus fork. The new algo gets rejects on NiceHash. People are paying for bogus hash.
We are in process of implementing the new algorithm Lyra2REv2, we have to implement a new validator and test to make sure everything works fine. We never rush on adding new algorithms before things are stabilized and tested. Of course, the original Lyra2RE algorithm will stay and there is nothing wrong with it - there are several other coins, besides Vertcoin, that are still using the original version of Lyra2RE. And to make clear - Lyra2RE algorithm hasn't forked, only Vertcoin (the coin itself) has forked to new algorithm Lyra2REv2.
