I have updated my wallet but still showing checkpoint is too old. But I have the green tick saying I am up todate,, My question is will I still be minting? as my coins just turned green and wondering how long before I see any coins I have 36k in coins,

The checkpoint message doesn't inhibit minting but with the new wallet you can get rid of it by downloading again the blockchain. To do so, just closed your sprouts wallet then go in the sprouts folder under appdata/roaming and delete blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat. Relaunch your wallet and wait for the blockchain to download (it's pretty fast).
