Many cop shootings /firefights start with a person who does not comply and then comes at an officer. You don't take chances with criminals that are willing to break numerous laws for seemingly no reason. Department seems to be trying to prevent a riot by firing the cop for a pretty ridiculous reason , which was listed as " entering the building" that the crime was taking place instead of calling the senior officer.
