I don't know about this, but it doesn't really seem like IRC is the place for sensible discussion. I've seen logs and it's just like this thread -- Hypers or zombies caught in a cult of personality rabidly attacking anyone with questions or criticism, shouting "FUD FUD FUD!" with no clue of what they're talking about. And dev isn't much better in that regard.
