I open a letter from ISP that they want to compete with google fiber .  But you have to have fiber laid out to where you live then cat-5 going from it to the modem. They put the fiber to house for free. I believe when new portion of house was built there might have been charge on cat-5 from fiber to modem I am not sure. So I guess biggest part is you need fiber not just a phone line like normal dsl.

So they offer a great deal and I go up to 1000 Mbps for 10 more dollars then I was paying.  Yes i know insane good deal.   It is not like most ISP's as it is really owned by it's users  ( a Co-Op).  No you will not find many ISP's like this but I am lucky.

It is just an insane amount of bandwidth I tried to think of way to legally monetize it but have not found good one yet.  On a side note it is going to cost me a decent chunk on a new router my old router goes up to around 750 Mbps, but I am going to purchase one that does closer to the 1000 Mbps.   They offer one from the ISP, but I like owning my own router.
