I think we should

1) Iinitiate POS ASAP
2) Both POS & POW should have halving of rewards at least yearly; for POS probably until it reaches 1% yearly
3) POW should be the same- halving ASAP - if possible at around block 200,000 or around block 266, 166 (when total reach 2 million Joincoins)
4) Unless POW rewards drop significantly or much faster, the weight of newly mined Joincoins from POS (vs coins mined through POW) would be still relatively quite low and not effective. Unless you are comfortable with block rewards dropping to such as 0.5, 0.25, 0.125, 0.0625/block  (or maybe 0.64, 0.32, 0.16, 0.08, 0.04, 0.02, 0.01/block, etc.), I am not sure what to do after dropping to 1 J/block on a next new schedule.

The halving of rewards should occur around every 2-3 months-otherwise, the weight of POW would be still about 5x of POS rewards. The lower Joincoin rewards of, say 0.01 J/block would still be as profitable as what we have now if popularity and value of Joincoins would most likely rise by the time 1-2 years later.) If nobody likes rewards lower than 0.5 or 0.1J/block, we might as well discontinue POW in a few months after dropping to a new halved reward schedule of 1 Joincoin/block.

Again, just a thought.
