I think bitcoins grows more widely it has more advantages than banks or other sources. It is like a government facility and can enjoy in bitcoins. 
That's why governments and big institutions will not allow bitcoins grow in wider range. They try their best to limit bitcoin growth.
Governments will either try to pass more and more licenses like BitLicense or will try to start their own cryptocurrency.
If governments start their own coins how it will help for bitcoins? if that happens then bit coin will loose its strength. So I think bit coin may not reach again 1000+ in next 4 to 5 years time.
