In short, having New Mangocoin vs Old Mangocoin, by name, in facts does not even need to change a thing in the database files.
It is simply a matter of how it is displayed and how it is called. Therefore, it would look more just like this

*This is new Mangocoin; this is the same as 125.00 old Mangocoins.
Or anythings to that effect.
6 months- one year after the change and upgrades by the whole community, the footnote would be probably no longer necessary.
