this was the final push down, now it's becoming clear either BIP100 or BIP101 will win and SOON, with block limit raised we will finally stop talking about forking bitcoin and how this will lead to XYZ bad bad bad fud fud fud.
Mike and Gavin are set on pushing their version on us so the only option is two side by side chains ~ if you try to tell me there is lack of mining power to support both i'll laugh so hard ! :-) ~good times bud
From a mining perspective right now I don't really care which chain I am mining on. the end results are still the same. But its hard to say goodbye to the core that is and has and always will be the true Bitcoin. 
But at the same time the geek in me says, nothing stays the same and if there is to be progress technologically, there has to be change. Lets just hope XT meets the needs and people keep their fingers away from the core code once the new chain takes over. And come up with a better consensus method.
