If you want full control of your Bitcoins use Bitcoin Core, Armory.
If you want to do micro payments use Blockchain, Coinbase and/or mobile Bitcoin apps.
If you don't have enough HDD space or don't want to run full node use Multibit, Electrum, Hive.
