There is a saying in poker. There is always one fish at the table that the experienced players will reel in and bleed dry when they come to their table. If you get to a table and don't know who the fish is...you're the fish.
Are you the one manipulating the other people putting their money into Bitcoin? If not, then you're the one being manipulated.
Thanks for pointing this out. The official newbie advice here (that I had forgotten) says to trust no one because everyone here is likely to have their own agenda. There have been times I noticed some users blatantly trying to manipulate newbies, but I still fall for it myself sometimes although I've been here for a long time.
From now on I'll try to bear in mind that if I don't know who the fish is...I'm the fish.
