Bitcoin is actually out of reach for me now due to the high cost of mining. Its good that a new idea has come along.

Hi,
Yes this will be an open source project and yes, Available on Github once development has been completed. We currently use our own GitLab to control development.
We are currently in testing phase, The nodes are there and everything is working as planned, except a few minor bugs we are currently looking into but should be fixed soon, we just need to make it more user friendly, We have yet to move onto any sort of GUI design. This will be worked on this week.
