Without faucets, probably most of people would have never got bitcoins(satoshis) enough to mess around with and ultimately learn about Bitcoin.
I strongly agree with you man! Faucets were the introduction to earn bitcoin. Most likely if someone new to btc asked you how to earn bitcoins, you'll probably answer faucets
