The Bitcoin-based cryptocurrency Dash has recently become the first full DAO with the release of a distributed governance and project funding system called "Decentralized Governance By Blockchain." In this system, the owners of masternodes vote on funding proposals. Anyone can submit such a proposal, and if approved by the masternode owners, the project will be paid automatically by the Dash protocol. The planned emission rate of the currency never changes, because 10% of the block rewards are held back by the network to fund the creation of these superblocks.
