Because there are always people who will claim to be "Christian" and then talk about something that is not Christian. The bible warns us of "Wolves in sheep's clothing".

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

The will of the Lord is in the commandments, and it's to love the Lord with all our hearts and put no one above Him. Believing you (a human) can save yourself, which is what 1aguar speaks of, is breaking a commandment and not doing the Lord's will.
