Even if HD were to come back at any time with HD2.0 or something of the sort, it certainly won't gain as much traction due to the fact that he literally lost 14 BTC due to an error in the system, and because of the system crashes that are due to people not paying miner fees...

But I'm sure HD will come back in a year or so under a completely new alias and everything... Who knows, maybe HD did get a large following/group of supporters that will follow him to the end.

That's actually what I said before. You've got it exactly right - they probably will come back with an alias.
