I like the reasoning for fungibility.  You don't want to be associated with an illegal transaction. Bitcoins traced back to illegal activity can have reduced value and are not fungible for other bitcoins.  The value to someone with a fungible currently(even if they are not doing illegal activity) is that the coins retain value no matter what their history.

This is much better than the "coin is anonymous" spiel which doesn't really show the benefit to someone that says "I don't do illegal stuff and why should I care."
