The background color could be a bit lighter (#dedede?) and the shadows a bit more unobtrusive. But I am not a web designer, so don't listen too much to me There's still room for improvement for mobile devices, the animated box doesn't scale good.
I like the actual too, because it's simple and clean. Just a little customized Bootstrap. The test version is more extensive with all the shadows and the animation on the start page, but still discreet enough - maybe it's the right middle course for minimalists like me and interesting enough for people who like fancy blinky-blinky attention-whore pages (like bitminerals, I hated it).
On the other hand I don't watch digibit.cc all day long... I see it only a few minutes per day, so it's not necessary that it gets the most beautiful website in the world
