Yeah, some places I have been you WOULD carry legally. Some places you'd carry even if illegally. Best thing to do is simply move, of course, but that's not always possible. Plus here in the UK not many rape your wife DNA will catch them .Does this happen a lot in America

But do me a favor and don't talk about how nice and safe the UK is. It may be safe where you live, but some places you wouldn't come out alive....
Regardless, I view the UK as an experiment in gun control. That's similar to some of the USA states being experiments in gun control/legal concealed carry. We sure don't need people arguing one-size-fits-all on this issue.
From the "experiments," 20 years or so, it's definitely looking like legal ownership and concealed carry is safer for everyone.
