Interesting story. One of the cards had a almost stuck fan. After I put it into the oil, the fan started to spin again. First start and stop, then 100%. Though the system reads the fans only spinning at 250RPM at 100%. 
I wonder if fans would last longer like this. They're already swimming in oil, so no need to re-lubricate them.
