I don't know, it's more about the number of transactions DigiByte will be capable of handling rather than just speed. DigiByte has a solid team working behind it and anyone with the capability can get involved or oversee because it's all OS, just like bitcoin is. Everything is in beta, so don't expect everything to work first time every time, that's where feedback from the community come in.
