It sounds more like a firewall thing.

Can you ping 8.8.8.8 from that masternode? (test icmp protocol in/out allowed)
Can you retrieve another ssl page such as https://google.com/ ? (test port 433 out allowed)

ping 8.8.8.8 operating well
