Yes, HYPERfuture has been gone quite a while now.  He disappears from time to time but always pops back up so I suppose let's give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

I wanted the let whatever members of the GP community that remain know that I contacted Presstab about what it would cost for him to implement the the splitblock tool from XRA/HYP into GP and he quoted me a price that amounts to approximately .375 BTC at the moment.  It would be a non-forking update.  If however, we wanted to clean up the code meaning we keep all the specs of the current coin the same but properly hardcode the 2.5 GP reward cap and make sure rewards are being calculated properly, it would be double that price.  This would turn it into a forking update and really not alter the fundamentals of the coin in any perceivable way, but just throwing it out there that it is something we can consider.

This is all moot for the time being anyway because if HYPERfuture doesn't reappear, GP is DOA.  He has been pretty reliable so I suppose we should just play the waiting game for the time being and assume he will reappear sooner or later.
