This is why I care....Clam has lost 90% of it's value in the past two months....If my investment was merely holdings I gleaned from clicking on a faucet captcha, I would be enthusiastic at the opportunity of doubling my quarter; however, if I bought in at 0.0113 a month or so ago and now my investment is worth one tenth of that value with very little hope of re-bounding and talks of abandoning the coin for a re-brand, I'd be upset.
Yes, but from what I can tell this is happening because of reasons beyond dooglus control. So what do you propose he do?
Well, I don't know now....seems damage is done. I would have let the market decide and let the "secret clam digger" get off his stash according to a Nash Optimization Principle instead of resorting to an obvious market manipulation technique.
The market was already down close to 90% before any of these discussions took place. Last I heard the digger is only about 30% done with the wallet he's working on now. Imagine if when the digger is finally done selling off this wallet and there is no buy support to speak of... he starts digging on a second wallet? Oops. Would you continue to let the "secret clam digger" unload a second massive stash? How about a third? Didn't think so...
Maybe this 'problem of unknown supply' should have been identified at the inception of CLAM, but it wasn't. The CLAM distribution was a huge success, many people got their free CLAMS in the first 18 months. But now it needs to adapt or die, because if nothing is done this coin turns into 'Make-the-digger-stupid-rich coin' and no one will support that either.
