Interesting find. UK money laundering risk and terrorist financing assessment. Digital Currency among the lowest risk.

In other news, "EU clamps down on bitcoin, anonymous payments to curb terrorism funding" though digital currency is not the only thing they are proposing to crack down on "strengthen controls of non-banking payment methods such as electronic/anonymous payments and virtual currencies and transfers of gold, precious metals, by pre-paid cards,". It's a sad event that occurred and has the potential to have even greater consequences by brash reactive action.

They should read their own research once in a while. As usual, financial "regulators" rush in where wise men fear to tread. Hopefully, the public will not take this threat to financial freedom lying down although, that may be wishful thinking on my part. It has been shown throughout history that "knee jerk" reactions only fuel the fires of ignorance. Good research, level headed thought and public involvement put the flames out.
