Also, I cant remember avalon6 thread I read this in, someone was requesting if someone would be able to turn off "smartspeed" and ssh login would probably be required. I offer up my services if whoever asked for that sees this post =)
I dont have an avalon6 but if ur willing to let me login remotely over ssh to one, I could figure out how things work =)
If your wanting to play with the firmware all you need is likely a RPI B or B+ . You can flash it with the image from BlockC I put in my review -

But that should be all you need to ply round with firmware. Will not be as fun with no miner on other side but should still allow you to modify it.
Yeah but w/o a miner, there is no testing or confirming.... its kinda pointless ...
