I can see assets with my nodes. Sometimes they not show up, but after a reload I see them.
I actually had the same problem with Nxt 1.6.2. Hitting [cntl]-F5 with the Nxt client open made the problem go away. For those who don't know, [cntl]-F5 forces a browser cache flush.
