A buddy of mine informed me that dc adapters aren't standardized, etc etc, so they could potentially mess up the bASIC.
Cablepair, will you be including an appropriately matched dc adapter? If not, can you provide a link to purchase one which is guaranteed to work appropriately with the bASIC?
yes dc adapters come in all shapes and sizes - the barrel jack connector we are using is about the most common size available - as far as I know you just need 12v but I will make sure the engineers give me exact specs of the ideal adapter - but when in doubt use molex.
If you run out of molex connectors on your PSU you can always use the sata to molex adapter we sell on our website.

Center negative is rare, but you have to watch for it if you're just grabbing one off the shelf. Some companies use it as a cheap way to force people to buy their branded wall adapters.
What's the input voltage range of the onboard regulator? Could we use a standard 19V laptop supply in place of 12V?
