Hey, where's the FAQ for this thread?

I might have a go at setting one up tonight - we can do it GitHub style so other people can contribute.

Also, just a note to mention that if you're like me and only powering 1-2 bASICs you won't need the 1000 W PSU. I've bought this personally; enough room to move, but not overly expensive. (Also, I wouldn't mind if someone chimes in to double check this would be okay - second opinions are always nice)

Update: I've made the repo here: https://github.com/XertroV/bASIC-FAQ

If anyone has a spare moment please have a look over this and let me know if anything is incorrect. There isn't much there at the moment, but it should fill up over the next few hours.

Cheers

Thanks but now I'm more confused. I have to power only one bASIC  54 Ghash/s  and I don't understand how.

"The barrel connector is thought to be a centre +'ve 2.1 mmID 5.5 mmOD type. (ID = inside diameter, OD = outside diameter)."

So what? can't find nothing like that with Google.
Wouldn't be more easy to tell exactly which model or type  or at list detailed specs or even a pic.
A link to Amazon or eBay or whatever would also be highly appreciated.
My feeling is that at the moment no one knows which barrel connector is the right one to power just one bASIC. Even Tom.

"A bASIC will not ship with any power supply. However, you can buy a PSU that is compatible from Tom's store"

Why only PSU and not a barrel connector too. I will order one  immediately.
