Opium production sky-rocketed after establishing the new "democratic" regime, and everybody knows that. Also, everybody knows that Kosovo is not an independent state, it's just a logistic centre for opium distribution.
You are right. Opium production dipped in 2000, when Mullah Mohammed Omar was in control.
