... We need a storage platform that people love using...

Yes, nothing else actually matters. Nothing.

Please read the Steve Jobs biography....
Obsession with "user experience" built the biggest corporation in the world.

You're mostly on the right track with Sia...
But running 3 programs, console interfaces, excessive locking, multiple passwords, lost coins, required router settings, dodgy upgrades, etc...
Show that you really DON'T GET IT... and are the sort of person Jobs would fire on the spot.

With BitTorrent, I can download a torrent with exactly 2 clicks... it's not too late to make Sia work.

BitTorrent is well over a decade old and is built by a company with 100 employees. Sia is about 6 months old and has been built by ~3 people. There is only one password, nobody has lost coins since 0.3, upnp is working, and you really only need to touch the UI.

I'm not sure what problems specifically you are talking about, but we've made substantial progress over the past 3 months. The iPhone was not built in a day, and Sia cannot be built in a day either. I think you will like 0.5.0

and apple was about to go under as a business until bill gates helped with something along the lines of a 300nillion usd injection - and a deal to get microsoft products into osx ... then apple came out with the ipod - and that made them BILLIONS - and they are what they are today ...

i cant remember the specifics - but im sure its there in the internet history books ... i have yet to look it up myself - but if memeory sevres me correctly - apple were in dire starights had it not been for the bill gates 'helping hand' ...

either way - sia is probably one of the best storage systems ive seen to date ... very early stages of will be ( if taek and team continue ) one of the most profound decentralized storage packages in history ...

i remember the days of the original bit torrent too ... damn those command line functions you had to punch in when it first started out ... hehehe ...
