$1000 must be a suicidal target and definitely will make you regret for your actions unless you leave some more bitcoins for future use.
When people will in race to buy bitcoin, only very few will be selling their bitcoins without realizing the true worth of bitcoins. Do not join to those very few people.
Bitcoin's growth would be in exponential pattern. Once price hit $1000, there are big chances for hitting $2000/$5000/$10,000 levels in quick period. By the higher value of bitcoin, more business will adopt bitcoin then you can simply lead a life by spending bitcoins to merchants. So, never needed to sell is the future of bitcoin.
