Is this some problem with the blockchain??

I've see the failed block checksum thing occasionally.

Anyway, Knight, this is what I do.

1) Start up Bitcoin QT after a crash.
2) It says the database file is corrupted. It starts reindexing it.
3) I shut Bitcoin QT down, go to the bitcoin folder, and remove what is in the chainstate folder, and the database folder.
4) Remove the blockchain blocks in the blocks folder.
5) Start up BitcoinQT 11.2 again. It starts redownloading everything. I let it go all night.
6) Come morning, it gives me a database error.
7) I notice all the blocks have been downloaded (again).
Delete database file and chainstate file.
9) Computer starts re-indexing. I go to work.
10) Come back from work, I see a database error message.

What is up with this? It is extremely frustrating. I need access to my wallet so I can do a little Christmas shopping....

Really messed up...
