Here is some Overvolting - overclocking of my S7 Batch 1 with DPS-2000BB and J4bberwock breakout board.
Getting ~ 5660Gh/s, Voltage is 12.75 V under full load.
Power consumption at the wall is 1590Watt => 0.28J/Gh efficiency
I know it runs hot, but I need the silence.
AriesIV10 just mentioned this on the forum and they are right. The RPM's on your fans are WAY TO LOW! If it is on auto, take it off of auto and put it on manual to 100% as soon as possible. At least 80 or 85 percent minimum. My guess is you already have them on manual and need to increase the percentage.
Thank you for the advice but I want to keep the noise at a minimum. The fan is set to manual at 28%
If the temps goes > 75C, I will adjust the fan to 30%. Each 2% gives you ~ 4°C less temps.
Furthermore I checked BM1385 temp rating and Bitmain indicates here that they can take up to 125°C (Operation temperature : max 125°C) :
https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/BM1385_Datasheet_v2.0.pdfI know the temp sensor is not on the chips but on the boards but it should work fine I think (If chips are less than 45-50C over the temp sensor it should be good)
