Hooked up 3 ant s3 to a 1gb/mth data plan once and it chewed 533MB over that period. so about 180mb/mth or so each I presume.

Hi to all

Just switched my ISP from totally unlimited (but very slow) to 150Gb per month (but quickish) 4G internet. I am hosting an S3 in my bedsit which actually is a nice little 400W heater now the nights are getting cooler here in Portugal. The question I can't seem to find an answer too is how much bandwidth does an S3 use in a 24 hour period? (up and down) I have Networx installed on my desktop and laptop which gauges the usage from computers but the S3 is connected directly to my 4G router so bypasses the monitoring.

Any help much appreciated. TIA

I used to run 8 S3's through a single stratum proxy.  As far as the Internet was concerned, I looked like a single miner running eight times as fast.  Presently, I'm doing this with a bunch of S7's.  No significant Internet traffic. I am running ckproxy. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=790323.0

I presently use a small headless Intel NUC running Linux to host this proxy.  It is also hosting a bitcoin node and a private Electrum server.  This machine cost a few hundred dollars a year ago and sits quietly, using less than 10 watts of power. It also serves as a personal web server host for low volume usage.
