Scammer - prundeagab - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=684818

I wanted his eBay gift codes. I needed them since I wanted an expensive gift for the GF. Asked for 2 x $500 codes, the deal was $700. I said sure, and we negotiated until we agreed that I send $20, then he sends both codes, then I send $680.

Payment - https://www.moneypot.com/withdrawals/f73da11f-2db1-417b-8e35-15a1f4576b94

Make fun of me, I can't even believe I put $20 down the drain just like that. Oh well, his stupid scamming paki ass can eat for a year now.

In the future when making payments, always use an address you control and can sign messages from. Anyone can post a link showing a "proof" of payment from a web service. Using your own wallet removes all doubt.

Yeah, good idea. It's pretty clear he scammed in this case, but I'll keep what you said in mind. I think MoneyPot is pretty trustworthy anyways.

It is mainly done for your protection - you can ask the seller to sign a message from their address in a public thread as well. That way there is no doubt about the veracity of your claims.

Sorry that people feel the need to scam for a few dollars in bitcoin.
