No, DOGE definitely makes sense. It's one of the few coins people are getting out of Cryptsy. People haven't been able to withdraw BTC for a month so they're understandably frightened and willing to pay a 30%+ premium for DOGE (ultimately losing about 25% of their BTC) to get their coins out of there.
