Might I point out that after Casascius minted his Gold coins, it initially cost $5,000 per coin including BTC. Chaang Noi (Goat) Sold his gold coin for close to $1,000,000. 
COST: $200 premium over gold spot price (subject to a $1850 per coin reserve), plus shipping, plus you provide the 1000 BTC. Complete with BTC, this is approximately a $5000 coin. Shipping is via Registered Mail with insurance.
Looks like the Casascius gold coin was only $200 over gold cost for the coin itself. That was very reasonable for such a low minted coin.
For another comparison, the Titan 1 BTC Gold was around $450-$500 over spot for the coin only.
