An apt description of bidpot would be:

Gambling(From the autobid, you are estimating what the pot will be like, and how many players will be there when you purchase your autobid credits, hence it is a gamble)
Jackpot(an initial pot is offered, subsequent bids from other users also go into this pot)
Penny auction(You are bidding for the pot, each bid increases bid price(and also increase pot))
