There are no chances for bitcoin prices to go down in complete 2016. The pre and post halving effects will trigger a year long price appreciations.

People tend to forget how unstable and volatile btc is. You say it can only go up? I say it can go anywhere between 50 and 5000 dollars at anytime. Some people have enough btc to just crash the price if they release them, and lots of companies have enough money to triple btc price if they decide to invest in. It's still incredibly unstable, that's why the price went from 325 to 450 in only a few days.
You got a point there. I am one of the people who are hoping that the price will only increase.
