so if I understand clam PoS correctly, you don't need an actual stake to stake? it's just running an empty wallet to start?

CLAM uses Proof-Of-Working-Stake. 
 
It still requires a 'stake' to 'stake'; but:
  • Age doesn't increase likelihood
  • The reward is a consistent 1 CLAM per block as opposed to 'interest' on the stake

These two changes make a CLAM something roughly similar to a unit of hashing power in a proof-of-work system.

so I just need 0.01 CLAM for example and I'm good to go? or are my chances increased to process a block the larger my stash?
