Work on adjusting for a higher percentage of investment stop loss.  I have had the same problem of too tight of a top loss at times myself.  So I tried widening my stop loss range.  At times I have to as much as double my initial stop loss range for some investments to not get triggered before the price movement I was anticipating to happen.  Therefore suggest trying a wider range of stop losses.  Good to keep track of such as to keep a good overall stop loss as you have been doing and allow more room for potential growth and earnings.
