Hey ppl, a sad anouncement today, I decided to halt the development of battlecoin and get a dayjob, I'm too poor and website is not earning enough yet, and searching for investors seems like a very slow route. (will keep looking so something might change in the following months, we'll see)
will get back to it, and work on it when I catch time, but won't have the time to work on it full time even though I really love this project.
Seems like I'm a little late to the party.

Anyway, I tried playing this Bomberman game and, aside from the low number of players online, I had two issues with it:
First, the very high ping (> 300ms), which made it almost impossible for me to play; however, my net definitely sucks, so that's most likely my own fault.

Second, the game, as it is now, is just too basic: there are no abilities to manipulate the bombs, like you see in most Bomberman games (for example, the kick, punch and throw abilities) - without these, the game turns out to be very repetitive after a while (and easier to exploit with bots). I doubt this, by itself, helps explain the lack of players (most users who posted here, so far, seem to have liked the game as it is), but it does seem like a major flaw to me.
In relation to the lack of players, one thing that could perhaps help retain some of them a little longer would be to include some basic bots for users to play against, while waiting for others to join - just sitting in the lobby waiting doesn't work very well.
