Here are my most recent communications with Sarahiko on the matter of my account being hacked. Anybody who's interested, please let me know if I'm missing something.
!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!
What is my hacked account even worth? I didn't realize before today that people buy BCT accounts. Seems stupid to me.
I can only assume that you didn't pay any attention to the evidence I gave you.
- I gave an extremely reasonable explanation of why I don't have the private key of the address I posted at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=246400.msg2633325#msg2633325.
- I proved that the idiot who hacked me was lying when he said he deleted the wallet with that address because it's clearly an address that ends up depositing to my BTC-e account.
- I proved that a wallet I own has been used many times to deposit to the address I posted in 2013.
- I proved that my BTC-e account was the recipient of every single transaction I sent to 1AK6QHxxhg5KchccRWUCZLdStubP5TRKZm.
- If you want, I can provide more screenshots to show that my BTC-e account has received every single transaction ever sent to that address.
So the hacker lied about having deleted the wallet, and you say you're still willing to give me the account if I can prove I have the private key to that wallet. I've proved to you that I am the person with access to any funds deposited to that address and I've suggested that I send you a signed message from the wallet I've used many times to deposit to that address. Very reasonable, imo.
After the hacker doesn't pay you back, if you put the account on auction, as you said, rather than giving it back to me in exchange for my very generous offer of reimbursing you the .05 BTC that the hacker stole from you, I can only assume that the account is worth a lot more than the loan amount (still amazed that somebody would buy a BCT account) and that you're as dishonest as the guy who hacked me. I guess I'm just relieved that I don't give a crap about BitcoinTalk anymore, other than for the sake of nostalgia.
So do the right thing or don't. I'm done.
He asked me:
how it is possible someone was using your account and staked bitcoin address but you don't knew it and when he took loan within few minutes you created a new account saying it was your account and its hacked.
if it was hacked then why didn't you noticed this when the possible hacker was using this since last month but you noticed this within few minutes after loan was processed.
To which I responded:
I didn't know because I haven't logged into it since last July. I got a couple of PM notification E-Mails this morning.
I said to myself, "wtf, somebody's using my Bitcointalk account." I don't get E-Mail notifications when I login or post something, so when the hacker got in and posted something a month ago, I was oblivious.
Surely, this must make perfectly logical sense to you, especially with the hacker having lied to you about deleting a wallet that I've proven he could never have had in the first place.
I think I've made a pretty convincing case, but people in the BTC world often surprise me with theories I never thought of. So let me know if you all think I'm missing something and am somehow still likely to be trying to defraud Sarahiko.
Edit: I don't see what's so difficult about letting me have the account back after the hacker fails to pay since I've offered to reimburse him the .05 BTC. He'd rather make some profit from selling it than do the right thing. How about .06 BTC? I'll do that. I just don't like losing something that belonged to me, but there's no way I'm going to bid against other people in an auction for my account.
Edit:
Wow, there's a Bitcointalk Account Price Estimator
http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/?token=4apef7a3No way I'd pay the expected 0.16 BTC in an auction. I'm annoyed at 0.06, but I'll do it just to get back something that belongs to me.
